Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) is a complete grappling system devised by 2 time light heavy weight Shooto Champion Erik Paulson. It utilizes the best standing, takedowns, tackles and throws from: Judo, Sambo, Greco, Collegiate and Freestyle Wrestling.
This is combined with a ground grappling system which consists of: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Sambo, Shooto, Pancrase and Catch-as-Catch-Can Wrestling. CSW utilizes the best techniques for position control, escapes, reversals, and submissions (joint locks, chokes, cranks, and finishing holds) from these grappling arts. This is a No-Gi class; however, practitioners wishing to use the kimono are more than welcomed to do so.
